In Luke 17:11–19, ten men cry out to Jesus for mercy. Ten obey His command. Ten are healed. But only one turns back.

Jesus’ question—“Where are the other nine?”—reveals something important about the difference between simply receiving from Jesus and becoming the kind of person who recognizes, worships, and gives thanks to Him. The Samaritan sees what Jesus has done, turns back, praises God, falls at Jesus’ feet, and gives thanks.
